Abstract:
The Translation, Interpreting & Culture (TIC) conference, themed “Virality and Isolation in the Era of Deepening Divides,” unfolded at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, over three days from September 20 to September 22, 2023. It served as an international gathering for the exchange of scholarly ideas, convening over 80 academics from more than 20 countries. This third edition of the TIC conference series built upon its predecessors. The inaugural 2018 edition, held in Nitra, Slovakia, explored “Old Dogmas, New Approaches” and notably introduced a novel perspective and potential generational shifts within the context of translation and interpreting studies.
